Frequently Asked Questions

Q  We need wheelchair access to the exhibition.  Are the aisles wide enough for wheelchairs and is there a special parking area for those with disable permits?

A  We are delighted to tell you that the aisles are indeed wide enough for wheelchairs. Parking for those with disabled permits is signed in the main car park.

For your information there are also disabled toilet facilities at the exhibition and again this year we hope to have wheelchairs and other mobility aids available, thanks to Sul Care. If you need further information please contact us on 282 342 936 or email sheena@blip-exhibitions.com

Q  Last year there were things I would have liked to purchase at BLiP but I did not take enough cash with me.  Will there be a cash machine at this year’s exhibition?

A  We are pleased to report that there is an ATM at the Portimão Arena

Q  Last year I temporarily lost my purse – fortunately I was reunited with it (and everything intact) fairly quickly. May I suggest that you have a lost and found area as the exhibition attracts so many people – some of us are forgetful, particularly as we get older!

A  What a good idea.  We have encompassed this in the plan of the exhibition and the Lost and Found Area will be in the Exiberia administration office on the first floor.

Q  Can you arrange for delivery of larger items that I may wish to purchase at BLiP?

A  Delivery cannot be organized by Exiberia or AFPOP, but there are transportation companies exhibiting and usually you will find that the supplier you are purchasing from can help you with delivery.

Q  Is there an entrance charge to the exhibition?

A  There is no entrance charge to this great exhibition.

This is of course a great reason to visit BLiP as often as you would like to over the weekend.

Q  Is there adequate parking at the exhibition venue?

A  There is a considerable amount of car parking adjacent to the exhibition arena, and in the local streets.

This year due to the fact that the BLiP exhibition will be at the same time as the Portuguese elections, we will not have the company of the Mamamaratona run on the Sunday. This also means that there will be additional parking available.

Q  I have attended previous BLiP exhibitions and have found them busy, useful and interesting.  However, I have never got around to becoming a member of AFPOP.  Can you tell me a bit about AFPOP?

A  AFPOP is an association with over 6000 members.  It offers its membership information on making the most out of living and working in Portugal. AFPOP holds regular meetings for its members and their guests to enjoy social activities as well as hearing interesting speakers. It also negotiates special arrangements on products and services. This is far too small a space to be able to tell you all about AFPOP.  Visit their website www.afpop.com or phone 282 458 509 or, of course, you can always visit them at this year's exhibition!

Q Is it possible to bring my dog when I attend BLiP?

A Sorry - Regrettably your four-legged friends will have to remain at home as there are strict rules preventing animals from entering the ExpoArade pavilion.
